BOULARD Grand Solage

Produced from a blend of Calvados varieties from the Pays d'Auge of which the age varies from 3 to 5 years, the Boulard Grand Solage is characterised by its apple fragrance and its amber colour.

The pure initial taste of the Grand Solage is followed by a fruity flavour and the vanilla taste of oak.

Perfect with a meal, it is also highly appreciated as an aperitif with tonic or on ice.

BOULARD XO (expanded view)

Obtained from blending several Calvados varieties from the Pays d'Auge aged between 8 and 15 years, Boulard XO is a remarkable Calvados which can be recognised from its complex aromas of grilled almonds and ripe apples, as well as its balanced and mild taste. Delicious when consumed at the end of a meal.
XO Calvados Boulard   Colour : Shiny amber colour.
Fragrance : harmonious apple and vanilla, with elegant hints of oak.
Taste : Ripe apple, spices, nuts. Very smooth.
Aftertaste : Spicy with an exceptional persistence.
Age : A blend of Calvados varieties aged between 8 and 15 years or more (average around 12 years).



BOULARD Hors d'Âge (expanded view)

The Boulard Hors d'Âge Calvados is produced exclusively from blends of various Pays d'Auge Calvados varieties, the age of which varies between 10 and 20 years or above.
Following a rigorous selection of complimentary characteristics, the head cellarman blends the chosen batches in various proportions.
They remain in the tun for the time necessary to obtain a perfect smoothness.


Hors dAge Calvados Boulard   Colour : Shiny amber/copper colour.
Fragrance : Offers a great deal of harmony between the fruit (apple) and the delicate hint of vanilla (wood) and dried fruit. Hints of tannin from the Le Tronçay oak (with slow extraction of tannin).
Taste: Powerful, intense, displaying a great deal of harmony. Hints of apple tart and dried fruit, in particular prune..
Aftertaste : Exceptional persistence for all taste components.
Blend: Calvados varieties of 10 to 20 years of age and above (average around 15 years). The official regulations stipulate a minimum of 6 years. At Calvados Boulard, the minimum is 10 years...




BOULARD Millésimé (expanded view)

Produced from several growths from the same year, this superb Calvados stands out for its rich aromas of wood and ripe fruit.
Its elegance and its length on the palate make it the perfect accompaniment for major events.

Millesime Calvados Boulard   1982 : Colour : dark amber, brown reflects.
Aroma : smoked, tobacco, spices, nut.
Taste : spicy, woody, coffee, licorice.


CARAFE 21 ans d'âge (expanted view)

The 21 year-old Boulard Carafe is produced from subtle blends of various Calvados varieties from the Pays d'Auge, the ages of which must be between 21 and 25 years or even more.
Following a selection of various Calvados types, each bringing its own characteristics, the head cellarman blends the chosen batches in order to create the unique personality of the Boulard Carafe 21 ans d'âge.

Carafe Calvados Boulard   Colour : Shiny, mainly Venetian gold colour, with very dark brown highlights.
Fragrance :Begins with gingerbread and coffee followed by caramelised apple and roast coffee beans.
Taste : The first sip is very spicy followed by the impression of well-cooked stewed fruit and apple, with woody hints.
Aftertaste : Liquorice wood and brown tobacco.
